Pinot Noir
Neudegg 2023
Our Pinot Noir grapes grow on deep layers of Loess, the most typical type of soil in our wine region. The vineyards are situated just outside our small hometown Neudegg in the very northern part of the Wagram. The grapes are carefully selected and handpicked. Fermentation takes place in harvesting boxed with 1/3 of destemmed grape bunches. It is aged for about 2.5 years – partly in new 900 L oak casks and partly in used 300 L oak barrels made from wood sourced from our forests near the Manhartsberg.
Not an insider tip anymore – meanwhile, it is definitely among our customer’s favourite wines!
